Leslie Marshall on Chris Christie's "Big" Decision

Chris Christie's making a big announcement today. (Ha Ha…big!) Is anything this guy does small? (Sorry, could not help myself).

I do not think he should run and if he announces that he is, he isn't the Republican Messiah many on the right are trying to make him out to be. In addition to obvious issues like his weight and his temper, which might work in Jersey, but won't work in DC and certainly won't work if you're trying to broker a Middle East Peace deal; he has little/no experience; something those on the right chided Obama for when running last time around. And he's a hypocrite. He wants to cut spending, but took a helicopter to his kid's game and of course, bases tax credits on his like/dislike for the product; in this case, the TV show “Jersey Shore” which would have created a few jobs in his state.

Wash Post/ABC Poll shows that 6 out of 10 either don't want Christie or don't know him. He will only get moderate Republican support. He will not get the tea party support, old school GOP types and Christian conservatives. Christie is just a replacement for Romney, but like Perry, I think he can win a primary and not an election. I believe Mitt Romney's the hardest candidate for our President to beat.  Fortunately, the Republicans are not listening to those of us on the left.
