@Thom_Hartmann blog: More on Republican Election Rigging

A Tea Party organization has drawn the attention of a Member of Congress for its efforts to suppress the Democratic vote. The group True the Vote has filed a lawsuit in Ohio to kick thousands of minorities, students, and impoverished residents off the voting rolls – claiming they aren’t properly registered. This is just one of the many tactics being used by the Right this year – along with Voter Suppression ID laws, cutting short early voting, and new hurdles to registration – to keep Americans from voting in November.
Sensing what’s going on in Ohio – a key swing state – Democratic Congressman Elijah Cummings sent a letter to the True The Vote – alleging a criminal conspiracy. As the letter reads: “At some point, an effort to challenge voter registrations by the thousands without any legitimate basis may be evidence of illegal voter suppression. If these efforts are intentional, politically motivated and widespread across multiple states, they could amount to a criminal conspiracy to deny legitimate voters their constitutional rights.”
Sadly – Congressman Cummings is right. Throw in to the mix the RNC’s growing election fraud scandal with the political firm Strategic Allied Consulting – and you just have to wonder, “Why is it that only Republicans are getting busted for election fraud?”

It seems that the Republicans won't stop until their attacks over Benghazi are as vicious as the attack in Benghazi. The Republicans would have you believe that the Obama administration altered the talking points on Benghazi out of political...
According to the U.S. Supreme Court, Monsanto has the right to control our food supply. In a unanimous ruling released this morning, the nine Justices sided with the agricultural giant, and held that an Indiana farmer violated Monsanto's...
Yesterday, Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives postponed all floor votes so they could hold their ninth hearing about Benghazi. Instead of working on any number of pressing issues effecting Americans, Republicans spent nine...
Oh, you crazy Americans! Here you are, obsessed with guns, thinking you need them to stop some leering thug from invading your home and taking everything you have. Truth be told, you don't have to worry about that nearly as much as, say, 20...
Now the abducted women are back with their families. Maybe now people will stop thinking of Cleveland as the butt of jokes and start thinking of it as a really weird and creepy place. This is a story straight out of… wow, I don't think...
